The mission of Ponds Food Pantry is to, "Use Food as a Gateway to Strengthen Families with Dignity." 

Ponds Food Pantry provides emergency food assistance to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity in Oakland, New Jersey and surrounding communities. The pantry is committed to serving every guest with dignity, respect, and compassion while helping ensure that neighbors facing an urgent nutritional need have access to food and community support.

Ponds operates as a choice pantry, giving guests the opportunity to select food based on their household's needs and preferences rather than receiving a predetermined package. This approach creates a more respectful and personal experience while helping families choose foods that are appropriate for them.

Food Pantry Hours

Tuesday: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Thursday: 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Ponds Food Pantry is one part of a broader commitment to addressing hunger and food insecurity in Oakland and the surrounding Bergen County area. Additional initiatives, including the monthly Community Table Dinner and Soul to Soul program for mothers and babies, extend that mission by providing further opportunities for nourishment, support, and community connection.
